(RP) Promotion Awards Ceremony for January, 1457

Riccianna's heart beat just a little faster as she neared the platform to collect her medal. She'd waited patiently until her turn came to step onto the stage and when she finally did so, she accepted the medal mutely, with just a respectful salute and a small smile of gratitude.

As she turned away from the stage she was faced with a sea of brave faces and she felt a glow of pride as she left the stage and walked down among them, her fellow soldiers.

Sheal walks up to the stage and salutes Helius.

"It was a pleasure serving with you as well, sir." He says and accepts his medal

(What do we do with them btw? lol)

* shakes Almo's hand and saluts*

Proudy walks up to the stage and recieves his medal. '' Thank you sir!''

After some time being away from things, Oric makes a late appearence. He quickly walks up to the other knights and replies, "I'm so glad to be back". If anyone has any question about me being away for so long just ask and I'll reply.

Sheal notices Oric arriving and walks over with a fierce expression on his face.

"Where have you been soldier?" He barks.

Then he smiles and laughs. "Just messing with you. What happened to you?"

Aise steps back up to the front of the podium to address everyone.

We all know the hardships in protecting our Homeland. It is not an easy task. Especially being on long marches, then guarding passage ways and when its time to sleep its usually under the stars and of course the rations are not always the tastiest. Long hours of waiting not fully knowing what's coming next. What orders will tomorrow even bring and when will I see my home again. Days, weeks, months sometimes of endless service and duty.

But these are the sacrifices we make to keep those who sleep in their homes with A warm fire at night safe. It is the sacrifices necessary to keep peace to our Countrymen. It is the sacrifice needed to keep England free.

We accept them willingly, because we can meet the task and do it better than any who have tried before.

Pausing for A moment...

But there is another sacrifice we also chance and that is Injury or Death while in service or by combat. And our 2 Operations did not go unscathed.

I wish to present those who were casualties the KoP Purple Heart.

Brave and Fearless Knights, We Salute you.

*Olam smiles broadly**thinks to him self**You thought you could live a normal life!*** He watches, and waits, and wonders*.... He stands and salutes all who pass by him.

Gen Elson salute to them when they come on to the stage.

He took the medal from Col Tasite and pin it on their Chest.

Congratulation and well done Knight...... she says has the medal was pin to there chest by the General.

Congratulations Sir, I'm just glad your healthy and in one piece. I think we will get to serve in the same unit for sure one day soon again. I look forward to it Good Friend.

As he was still on stage, he hears Gen Aisafe speaking.

Sure thing General Aisafe, it would be a honor for me.

Elmix goes down to stage to where Lady CruzinCat sat among the honored guests. He offers her a friendly hand Lady Cat, would you please honor us and your husband Sir Degas and would come up to stage?

Elmix waited for her answer.

Watching as everyone receives their awards and medals she is happy for them, they all very much deserved the awards and I'm sure they are appreciated by the soldiers as well.

Hearing AIsafe call her name and knowing it could only mean she was expected to receive her husbands awards, she prepares herself to face a room full of people. Hanky in hand to keep the tears dabbed away if they should suddenly spring forth, she watches as MG Elmix approaches.

Looking up at him as he offers his hand for her she feels the sting of the tears already and blinks them back. A knot builds in the pit of her stomach and she wills herself to reach up and take her friends hand. Standing, she adjusts her skirts to keep her mind off other things that threaten to dislodge her emotions.

Taking his arm they walk to the stage. Stepping up the few steps they walk to where General AIsafe is standing. She feels like a little child not knowing what to expect. Unprepared to say anything, she greets him with a smile and a simple 'hello, it is good to see you again General'.

As Lady CruzinCat steps onto the stages, Gen Elson walks towards her and bow.

"Hello my lady, it has been a long time you visit the KoP barrack again. I am sorry to hear about what happened to Maj Degas. We too are sad and strongly believe that he will not be forget by the peoples of England."

Greeting General Elson when he approaches, she listens while he speaks, then replys.

"Yes M'Lord Elson, it has been some time since I have visited the KoP, and it is nice to see so many friendly faces again."

Continuing she states, "Many will miss my husband, and many will not. I agree, he has made a big impression on England, but whatever impression he had on the peoples of England, he will be remembered."

Seeing Lady CruzinCat finishing her speaks with General Elson I approach her, Then Bow and softly say...

M'lady, I offer my condolences. Your husbands departure is A great loss to us all. You have lost A husband and A father of your children and England has lost A son and Great Knight, together we shall endeavour to carry on His hopes.

I then rise and address Her...

Lady CruzinCat I thank you for coming forward in His name in these impossible hard times for you.

Turning to the Gathered I continue...

In this long and hard journey we strive to protect and safeguard those who cannot do for themselves.

In order to do it right brave Leaders must be sought out, today we Honor two of them who in their endless dedication have kept what we believe in true and safe.

We present to MGen Elmix and Lt Colonel Degas for their great service in operation Firestorm. The Defense Superior Service Medal.

Please Congratulate Them.. .

After hearing the announcement made by Gen Aisafe, Gen Elson takes the medal from Col Tasite and pin it on MG Elmix chest.

He than pass the medal to Lady CruzinCat and hold her hand .

"Maj Degas had done a lot to KoP and he do hold our flag high, My Lady. We would like to escort his body to the royal castle. This is the only last thing we can do for him. And if you need any help, always come to KoP, and we shall do our best to assist you. I hope hope that ! day, you will return to KoP family"

Replying back to Gen AIsafe in a soft voice before he turns to address the rest of those gathered, "Thank you M'Lord, your condolences are very much appreciated."

She listens as he continues with his announcement and watches as General Elson pins the medal on MG Elmix.

As Gen Elson approaches her he places the medal and ribbon in her hand holding it as he speaks to her.

"Thank you M'Lord, my husband would have been honored to receive these medals and ribbons if he were still alive, I accept them for him in his honor. It would be a great honor if you and the KoP would help escort my husbands body to the Royal Castle."
