In the shadow of the two big operations a Promotion Ceremony will be held! Socialising with your fellow knights, speeches, promotions and feasting till dawn will be assured!

So please attend this first ceremony of the year, 1457!

- Second Lieutenant Almogrief

Wandering into the hall, Sgt Proudy notices Lt. Almogrief standing off to one side. After giving a salute to his superior, Proudy asks the Bartender for the biggest glass he has available to put his welcome drink into. The Bartender laughs and asks the Sergeant for any news from the north. ''Its been a long campaign, and I long to return to Liverpool after being away on patrol for the last 2 months!'' Replies Proudy. He looks forward to meeting up with his platoon after being seperated from them when the were drawn into the army north of Penrith. '' We beat back one attack but a threat still sits in Dumfries which we must be prepared for.'' He added before taking a swig from his perfectly poared ale.

Proudy heading over to the nearest table where he sat and waited for his platoon to arrive and to see some familiar faces of brother knights from the last ceremony he attended.He cherished these events as they paid tribute to the deeds of many a brave knight.

Quietly slipping into the hall, and as the very first heads for the bar. Here he finds sgt. Proudy from the old platoon
Hi Sgt. - Good to see you again. Hope most of us got away from the war without beeing wounded.
My platoon got caught in the battle just before we could join the army again, but fortunately we were strong enough to beat the enemy even without our swords and shields.

Giving an appreciative nod to the guards stood by the doors, Ose wanders into the Great Hall, her shoes echoing in the silence as she makes her way to the bar "large beer please " upon taking her drink she makes her way to Sgt Proudy and Cpl Dangerfield, saluting to Lt Almogrief as she passes by "Sir" , Ose continues to her comrades from Liverpool "Hey guys"

Sheal walks into the room in his customary armor with his sword at his side and looks around. Ah, another ceremony. These are always such fun he thinks to himself and then heads for the bar for a drink.

Sheal laughs.

"Aye, they said they'll give out one drink, but nothing was said about bringing your own!" he says and pulls a bottle of rum from his hip pocket. "How many you think you can take and still pass for sober?" he asks James as he pours himself and James a drink.

Helius stood at the entrance of the Grand Hall, returning the salute from the guards with a nod, whilst removing his riding gloves, He remembered the first time he had attended a ceremony when he was but a youngling, his mind flashed back to the many faces of good knights that have graced these floors, and have long gone.
As if it were his first ceremony, He still felt the same emotions of peace, happiness and ease. Now, the only difference, he was not the nervous bumbling recruit as he was then.
He smiled at the fond memories and walked in.

hunter enters early for once and puts his helmet on his saddle and enters
the hall

Sheal taps the side of his head with a finger.

"Because I know how these people work." Then he notices Helius entering the room and hides his rum. "Just don't let the brass know, deal?" He says with a wink to James

approaching the entrance with the crate containing the 10 bottles of Coventry's finest fruit distillery.... entereing the grand hall setting the crate on the table... he draws his sword and pops the crate open revealing the bottle of fruity flavored intense alcohol...

this will definitely put some hair on some of these guys chest... I can't wait to get a look at their face when it burns and the fruity after taste with a nice belch... he pops the top off of one of the bottles reading "Cherry" taking a couple of small shot glasses and setting them on the table next to his brother pouring the glasses full.

"be careful brother this stuff, it will burn going down.... it'll put hair on your already hairy chest" he looks at his brother knowing he may not heed his little brother's advice and chug it...

Proudy laughs with delight when he sees Cpl Dangerfield and Cpl Oseanna come into the hall. '' Good to see you both, and good to hear you managed ok Dangerfield! '' He clasps hands with them both. The three of them sit together and swap stories while waiting for more Liverpool Knights to arrive.

After saluting the guards at the door, Tastie stood at the entrance for a moment to take in the splendor of Grand Hall. Beautiful as always she thought to herself, moving towards the bar "Tea please" she ask after taken a seat.

Reaching my Lads and doing a face search, I ask...

Ahh Great everyone made it Ose, Proudy and Danger good too see we all still in one piece too, say Capt Almogrief and I just returned from pickin up Joker he should be along shortly I hope... I will try to hold off till Dram, Dips, Rave and the others show up. Oh excuse me there's the General's wife I will be right back..

I rush over to greet Her....

Helius throws back a glass of "cherry juice" and in a rasp tone as the liquid burns past his throat ... smiles and looks at his brother...
It has a slight kick to it brother
His face turns slightly serious

I suppose you come to make amends brother and keep yourself within the wisdom that our father taught us maintaining high the family name i am grateful for your choice

He grips his brothers shoulder, and squeezes lightly,

Besides...I wouldn t want to give you another good thumping!
His faces turns quickly to a honest laugh as he pours another 2 drinks...


Ahh Lt Almo how nice to see you good sir... It seems to be a well organized feast... my compliments...
But I doubt that anyone will see any sign... as I had it taken down...
Ridiculous the limiting of drinks at a Knights gathering... In all my time here in this order I have yet to see a knight over indulge theirselves...
They are knights and know fair well of self-discipline and control.
If I can trust each and everyone to hold a sword at my side... i must trust them with a glass at my side.

Helius places another glass at the table and pours another drink, then hands the glass to Almogrief...

Now toast with us, for it is a blessing from Jah to drink amongst friends and family...

he raises his glass

Helius trys to smile as the rasp strikes his throat...

Aye LT , you know ....you sometimes surprise me good man.... thats a brilliant idea... I never believed in those rumours about you

He winks in jest to Almogrief

Have the remainder chilled and make sure one reaches General Elsons table after the ceremony and dinner...as an after drink...

* Kara creeps in rather quitely and shyly and takes a rum and coke from the bar and stands in a corner tryin not to be noticed*

Riccianna made her way through the hall to the bar where she quietly requested her welcome drink. She hoped it would be something strong enough to warm her insides, for the freezing weather seemed to have infused her very bones as she'd ridden her dapple-grey mare, Franka, to the ceremony.

She nodded a thank-you to the barkeep and, taking her drink with her, found herself a seat toward the back of the hall so that she might slip away without much attention when she was ready. Sipping at the weak alcohol and wishing it were good, she looked around the hall to see whether either of her cousins had arrived. She spotted cousin Aisafe who seemed to be deep in conversation with a woman unknow to Ricci, and she made a mental note to nod a greeting if Aisafe's eyes and her own should meet.

'Ah, Helius..' she noted as she watched him downing a shot of something rather stronger than she herself was drinking. She continued to drink, feigning a disinterest in the goings-on around the hall and every now and then she glanced up at the door so that she would be aware of those who arrived.

Braxton arrives in his dress uniform with well shined boots. Upon hearing about the one drink rule he goes out and finds a large flower vase which he proffers to the bartender to fill. The bartender smiles and ignores it, giving Sgt. Braxton a regular sized ale, but it was still worth a try.

As I make way through the Hall I see Col Helius has arrived and good there's the man I need too see standing right next to Him...

Hmm looks like their up to no good as well, just as I reach them I clear my throat.

ah Hemm Gentlemen glad to see you both, I trust we observing the no heavy drinking till after the presentation and speeches are made.

Both Officers nod and smile to me, seeing the the bottle on the bar table I make sure they see me gazing at it for A few seconds

Great, now Lt Almo take these and keep them safe... I hand him three parchments.




These are the Promotion announcements and our other special task for today. I think we will wait a bit longer as many are still coming. Although I'm getting anxious perhaps some chilled tea will calm me down.

Turning to the Col I ask
Col I know we hadn't discussed it previously but I would like to know if both yourself and BGen Elmix could take the stage too respectively assist me in the final announcement.
