Stumbling In... (burrrrrrrrrp!)

"I would nominate Jereon." she said, stretching her arms and legs in preparation. T'was a good thing she had come directly from her training session on the Pendragon grounds.

Wolfmist wiped his mouth with his sleeve and stood up, ready to go again around the assault course. "Ready?" he asked his team mates. "If we go now, they'll be one man down!"

"All right then..when everyone's ready, we'll line up to start." she said, looking through narrowed eyes at Wolfmist. "No one will be getting a head start here."

Suddenly at the course, Wolfmist leads the way through the tires, across the short jump and waited at the wall waiting to give his team mates a leg up over it, hands ready at the knee...

Standing off to the side to watch he eyes Wolf in non-disbelief.

Wolf, Jereon hasn't lowered the flag for anyone to go.

"Flag? What flag?" he called across from the wall, suddenly distracted a little.

Sparhawk waves the big yellow flag over his head.

This one Wolf. When Jereon flips it down towards the ground that means start......

He shakes his head and then does some stretches.

Because Wolfmist was quite far from the start of the course already, only some of the words got through, and when he saw the flag wave, he redoubled his efforts and scrambled over the wall out of sight, presumably already making his way in double quick time than before.

Sparhawk nods thinking of doing that or grabbing the new gun in the armory hoping he might miss Wolf. He turned around to face Almogrief, saluted, and then stood at parade rest.

It's a competition sir. South vs North. 3 man teams. Jereon believes that the southside will beat the northside.

Just then Wolfmist scrambled up before the three men, panting hard in ragged breaths. All he could get out while doubled over was, "Time?"

Sparhawk grabs a bucket full of water and pours it over Wolf.

Squire Wolfmist....no one was keeping time. Want to know why? Because no one told you to go. You ran the course without the rest of your team. You know what that means right Wolf????? It means go to some push-ups until I get tired.

Sparhawk gets in the push-up position with Wolf and waits for Wolf.

Wolfmist let the words soak into him, along with the water, and ran his hand through his hair. But without complaining, he got down next to the NCO and waited for the mark.

Sparhwak grins and starts to do the push-ups. After about 35 he stops in the up position and leans his body to the right, then to the left, lowers himself down staying to the left and holds it there for a minute.

So how you doing Wolf? Now go to the right. He leans to the right. So are you going to leave your team behind again?? Are you a knight or a mercenary? What knight group are you with?

He the centers his body and goes to the up position.

Again, are you a knight? Who are you a knight with?

All that could be heard from Wolfmist was a faint, "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."

After about 2 push-ups he had just splashed into the mud on the side of his face. His tired body obviously found a comfy spot in the mud and was quite happy to let the Sergeant carry on.

After a good many hours, Wolfmist woke up to a piggy looking at him, snuffling his hair, and groaned. His body ached all over and felt cold and stiff.

He got up and tried to brush as much dried mud off him, then went to find a lake to jump in. Feeling cleaner and totally refreshed if cold, Wolfmist went to find a fire to huddle up to, shivering slightly.
