Stumbling In... (burrrrrrrrrp!)

During a night off on a non-particular day, Wolfmist stumbled out of the Carlisle Inn after a fair number of tankards of strong ale, the faint memory of a task of getting home to his wife flitting in and out of his concentration of putting one step in front of the other while dodging the horse poo in the streets...

On the way he saw an odd looking building he thought he knew of, but being nearly anetheatised, all memory of such a thing seemed less than vague...

Stumbling through the door, which through beer goggles seemed bigger than he thought it was, walked face-first into the door frame, then suffled around it, tipping his hat and apologising to it, thinking he had bumped into a woman... or even a rather tall horse, maybe...

He looked around the room he was now staggering around in, blissfully unaware of the black eye that he would be forming sometime tomorrow afternoon, and saw what he thought was a hotel attendant and a guestbook.

The attendant seemed to be muttering something, but to Wolfmist was just a load of garbled twaddle, so he just smiled and nodded politely, and when the hand of the attendant seemed to offer a quill and pointed to the guest book, he signed it with a massive flourish, which oddly read as a large;

"SiR WoLfmIist PeNdraGon foR tHe AAaP"

Halfway through signing, Wolfmist had gotten into his head that rather than signing the KoP Sign-Up documents, or even maybe a Hotel Guestbook, Wolfmist was signing off an AAP Newspaper article...

Wolfmist staggered back from the book on the desk, as if admiring a piece of artwork, holding the quill in front of him, half handing it back to the attendant and as an attempt to maintain balance to his staggering/standing. As the Recruitment Officer/Hotel Attendant grabbed the quill back, Wolfmist turned, held his stomach and grimaced as if he felt like he was about to throw up, he belched hard and long, then feeling quite blissful again, staggered out of the building.

Quite unaware he had just signed up to the army, he was now wandering around what he presumed to be his Castle's Garden Courtyard, obviously forgetting the fact that it would have required a lot longer walk. In fact, he had somehow wandered into the KoP barracks training area and was losing the battle to maintain enough energy to make it to his bed and prompty fell into a horse trough in the KoP training grounds. The water hardly affected him, nor did the sound of a drinking horse mouth next to his head, because he was snoring quite happily, and very loudly.

the Sergeant Mayor looked at what was on the paper that the drunk men handed him
he was waiting for his daughter who by now must almost have completed her basic training

AAP whats aap he thought when he read the paper

before he could ask it or explain that he was not the right one to hand this piece of paper to the men had already left
mumbleing something about a hotel

oh well he will soon find out that life of a soldier is not one of luxe

and put the piece of paper away he would make sure that the correct person would get it

Wolfmist woke up, feeling rather soggy, and when he moved his head it accidentally slipped fully underwater, startling him to full alert, spooking a horse nearby. Sticking his head up and looking over the side, he wondered where, in the name of Fyre, he had ended up this time?

Wet, bedraggled, and suffering a chronic alcohol-related headache, he staggered up to someone on a horse near to the entrance of the courtyard.

"Excuse me, where am I?" He finished the question stifling something of a mix between a yawn and a burp behind his hand, "pardon me!"

after a bit of talking with the guards they let him in the training camp
he know that he would not be able to leave now for a long time

when someone asked him where he was he told him that he was now in the training camp of KoP

and then walked inside the building

"Oh... no..." Colour drained from his wet face as he realised why he might be here...

He looked around, perhaps for an escape route... or shovel to dig a deep hole for himself... but when he saw the uniforms of a few people walking about, he realised that there was only one outcome either way.

He was doomed.

so that's probably why he is drunk now

ever since he came from Cumberland walking to Wiltshire has he been under my command in one way or the other
he has done a lot of escorts in Wiltshire,Sussex,Worcester and Somerset
he has defended in a group Oxford for more as 60 days with out pay

Wolfmist shook the hand, feeling slightly precarious about his postion, "Oh, I am sorry, please forgive me! I am Wolfmist - but seriously all I remember is walking into a tavern in Carlisle... then I wake up in a horse trough... Wolfmist still felt like it had been a wierd couple of days, especially this morning, but never the less, the feeling of "settling in," seemed to be sinking in, now that he was talking to a friendly face.

but it was not a rank

but after there training and out in the world they soon find out that there instructers where softy's compeard with the robbers,revolters and enemy soldiers who will be out to try and kill them

i think you have found out by now that this is not a hotel

your here in the training camp of the Knights of the Phoenix

the training soldiers get here is one of the best in England if not THE best
our Knights are stationed all over England and also far outside of it

almost all of the generals in England are Knights
from time to time we also get here Captains of county army's who want a training here

the training can be tough but every one can pass it so dont give up

and you will make a lot of friends from all over England

you have already meet my daughter she is from Wiltshire
soon you will also meet people closer to you

Wolfmist shook the Sgt. Major's hand and listened to the introduction of what he was in for.

When he was finished, Wolfmist thought it through, with a finger to his beard. "I see. Well, hopefully my self-imposed training for the Pendragon Knights will prepare me for the gruelling routine I expect it to be. So, I am under the General Elmix himself... excellent. I reported to him during my time on the Scottish battlefields. Thank you for the introduction.

if you want that then you have to offer your service to him
but you can also find some one else for it
every one with the rank of Knight Apprentice and higher can accept and refuse squire's

till that you are your self the rank of Knight Apprentice will you stay by the knight that has accepted you

im the hope that in the years you will build a good friendship and he/she learns you all there is to know
and prepears you for your knight test

Sir Wolfmist, I would suggest to find a knight in Cumberland to offer your services to.

"Yes, Sir, I understand." Wolfmist bowed to one knee and put fist to heart, head down, as was the salute the Pendragon Knights often gave. He didn't know the way the KoP did it, so offered his native salute, hoping it was acceptable.

Despite his rude awakening to what he had signed up to, he would see it through, and his mind was already preparing for the heavy challenge of accepting it. When Mario spoke up from behind, Wolfmist offered his reasoning.

"I would like to approach the General for application to become a Squire, in that case, Sir, since he is believed to be the officer of my area. At least I think that is how I understand it to work?

"Does he have the time to see me?"

As he finally made his way up to the KoP barracks as he had 2 free days off from his mission in Scotland. He enters and see so many knights here gathering and talking.
